March Madness, Anyone?

Is anyone else missing our yearly March Madness writing challenge? Unfortunately, I have not had time to organize anything official this year, but I am gearing up to do some serious writing through March.

If you're in the same boat, let me know in the comments. Let's keep each other company...I mean ACCOUNTABLE.

  1. I'm revising, again. For the month of March I will focus on only one project and get it finished. 49 chapters in 31 days. I know what I need to do, so now it's time to sit down and do it.

    Have fun with your writing.

  3. I did NANO in November, but didn't reach the finish line, so I'm up for another month to complete a first draft. I'm starting today. And I'm shooting for another 25,000 words. So, I"m with you-- serious writing in March.

    1. Awesome, Joy! 25,000 words seems doable. I (for once) do not have a word count goal for the month. Only to make forward progress on the story each day, as this novel is a tough one to write and still requires a lot of research. But I'm excited to buckle down for the month. Glad you're here!

  4. Hi Denise, I just picked up your book "fast fiction" and I was so excited to see a spring challenge! I am looking to write my first draft of my first novel in the next 30 days, would be nice to have some company :)

    1. Hi Noelle! So glad you found me here, and I'm thrilled to hear you are working on your first novel. I can't wait to hear of your progress! And remember, we all have bad days (or sometimes bad weeks) where it doesn't feel like our writing is worthwhile, but if you push through, just for 30 days, I promise you'll look back and see some amazing stuff. Keep me updated, and all the best to you this month!
